IMPORTANT UPDATE!
Due to inclement weather, casting on Saturday, March 23 has been cancelled. This will now be a one-day event on Sunday, March 24 with extended hours. The information below has been updated to reflect this change.
A contest open to CSCA members and non-members, surf fishermen and fisherwomen of all ages… Get official measurements to see how far you really cast as you compete in our opening event of 2024. It’s as laid back or competitive as you choose to make it.
What to bring: your favorite conventional or spinning reels filled with high-visibility regulation monofilament and shock leader, strapped to a 10’+ rod capable of casting at least 4 oz. Also, consider bringing sunblock, chairs, canopy or umbrella, and other items for your comfort.
What is provided: snacks, bottled water, regulation tournament clips and sinkers. Extra monofilament shock leader and 0.37 mm running line can be provided for a nominal fee as determined by event management.
